Founded in 2009, by Blane F. Stoddart and Fred Werner, BFW provides construction administration, construction project management, and owners representation in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and along the East Coast. In December 2011, Mr. Stoddart became the sole owner.
Our vision is to create long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our clients and construction management partners by building sustainable physical spaces that lower costs, increase productivity, or create a sense of home. We manage our client’s interests by anticipating and reducing adverse financial exposure through value engineering and cost estimating, managing the workflow and schedules, managing construction risks, and successfully closing out projects on-time and on-budget. Over 1/3 of our staff are accredited LEED, registered architects (RA/AIA), QA/QC certified, or Professional Engineers (PE). Our staff has grown from two (2) to over 21 professionals and project managers.
The Principal and Staff have over 150 years of experience in real estate construction and development. Blane Fitzgerald Stoddart, President and CEO, LEED Green Associate, has 28-years of experience in real estate and construction. His experience spans office, commercial, multifamily, affordable housing, institutional, mixed-use and health care. Julia Blackett, Senior Vice President, LEEDGreen Associate, has over 20 years of development consulting experience. Ms. Blackett has closed over $200 million dollars in housing and economic development projects utilizing Low Income Housing Tax Credits, State Capital Assistance, Housing Trust Funds and a myriad of HUD and Bank Financing. Arthur SanFilippo AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, serves as Vice President and Project Management Director. Mr. SanFilippo has extensive experience in managing institutional, healthcare, education, commercial and mixed-use construction.
BFW is certified MBE, DBE, and SBE in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, DC, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida.
