PENN STATE UNIVERSITY – JAMES BUILDING
This new 7-story, 86,000 square feet, innovation building at Penn State University is a one-of-a-kind building that sits just outside the campus boundaries. The building consists of six (6) stories of mixed-use spaces that include administration/office/classroom/meeting spaces. This sustainable structure has a green roof, advanced electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler, and HVAC systems; as well as an underground parking facility. The building is “LEED Gold” certified. The buildings’ primary use is to be an innovation hub for both small and start-up businesses in the Center County area. BFW is the Assistant Project Manager and Pandemic/OSHA Safety Officer. BFW is contracted to LF Driscoll, the general contractor.
